Book will be available for purchase and book signing!
In this training, conducted by Tamie Gangloff, M.A., MFT, and Karen Carnabucci, LCSW, TEP, we explore experientially and didactically the intersection of with eating disorders and chronic illness and the importance of treatment of people with these dual experiences, specific interventions and resilience in a body that continues to change.
In particular, we focus on the need to broaden our understanding of disordered eating and its treatment beyond traditional frameworks.
Tamie, the author of the new book Chronic Illness and Eating Disorders: Assessment, Clinical Skills, and Lived Experiences, scheduled for publication by Routledge in August 2025, will discuss her book based on clinical research and lived experience and tell how various illnesses and conditions can affect appetite, body image and overall perception of food and health.
